The goal of this meeting was to give members an opportunity to have a deep dive into the topic of indirect tax. This came after a recent Tax Special Interest Group where several members expressed an interest in a more focused conversation.
The Indirect Tax Special Interest Group will be scheduled on a quarterly basis and chaired by Tiago Schotten (Bol International, Netherlands.) The aim would be to share examples of cross-border experiences, highlight the implementation of new legislation (e.g., e-commerce) and share small VAT-related questions. Members support the idea of building a partnership between BOKS and Sovos, where there are opportunities for VAT compliance work. In the spirit of transparency, members are encouraged to create rate cards for their VAT services. In addition, members can ask questions and share updates within the dedicated email chain.
