In your opinion, what is the future for your profession?
Our world and the business environment are changing rapidly, and this is creating a healthy opportunity for the profession to evolve alongside the market’s needs. Expanding beyond traditional compliance services and expanding speciality practices allow us to be nimble as new trends emerge in the marketplace. As we move into 2022, FD is focusing on business transformation for our clients and firm.

Trust is at the core of business transformation, and trust is driven by strong relationships. As we look to the next five years, we turn to our brand promise for inspiration: Investing in Relationships to Make a Difference® in our clients, our team and our communities.

What is your biggest challenge?
We could detail meeting firm growth needs, industry line expansion, legislative updates and 10,000 + tax returns prepared in a primarily virtual environment in 2021; however, our team is a global community of professionals who have successfully transitioned how they work multiple times over the past two years. In the face of tremendous opportunity, our people have remained curious, entrepreneurial, collaborative and focused on exceeding our clients’ expectations.

What percentage of your work is international?
FD’s international client base comprises roughly ten per cent of our work.

What business advisory services do you offer?
FD was founded by offering traditional accounting services, and we continue to excel in these areas. We have expanded to include a robust consulting practice and offer a full range of services to support diverse aspects of operations, from strategic planning and technology controls to employee engagement and customer experience. We understand that new issues arise as a company grows and businesses transform. Our team is here to support organizations as they navigate these challenges.

How would you describe your typical client?
FD and our family of businesses serve clients from the Fortune Global 500 companies to growing small businesses. A Top 50 firm, we have been recognized as a Best of the Best CPA firm, a Best Firm to Work For® and a Top Firm for Women.

How do you target clients who are looking for international services?
Our team serves clients across the globe from FD’s worldwide locations. While location matters less than ever and we are dynamic in our approach, our traditional offices are based in the US and the UK.
Do you specialise in a particular sector or service?

FD provides a blend of deep expertise and technical knowledge, combined with a relationship-driven approach that helps organizations look ahead and successfully transform their businesses. As organizations grow, we offer a unified approach to guide our clients through the continually changing business environment.

Where do you see your firm 5 years from now?
Trust is at the core of business transformation, and trust is driven by strong relationships. As we look to the next five years, we turn to our brand promise for inspiration: Investing in Relationships to Make a Difference® in our clients, our team and our communities.
